New Years Eve Party Inspo

It's finally the end of the year!! We love to celebrate any time for any reason, but to kick off the new year feels extra special. If you are throwing a party or attending one, we have some tips and tricks to make your night extra special.

Decor!

The decorations of a party are essential! A little bit goes a long way too. For our party, we used a balloon garland that we created, disco balls, and lots of silver/gold accent pieces. Instead of having the party theme be "new years eve" or "2022", we chose a classic disco + sparkles theme. You can reuse decor from past parties or keep new decorations for a future event. The best place to get inexpensive basic party pieces is Target. They have great options for many different color ways and even sell balloon kits!

Every party must is a photo backdrop. This can be a banner that has a celebratory phrase on it, balloon garland, lights, arch backdrops, and anything you like! We used shiny silver and gold streamers with a mega balloon garland for our NYE backdrop. It is fun to take photos in front of it of course, but I personally like how it naturally gathers people in a place to mingle.

Also, always have snacks available. You can throw chips in a bowl or whip up a charcuterie board and I promise both will be a crowd pleaser. Extra points if you use decorations like confetti, candles, or flowers on the food table!

Outfits!

My favorite part about this holiday is the fashion. When I envision New Years Eve outfits, I think of sparkles galore, different textures like silk + velvet, elegant colors with bold touches, and some glittery makeup. This is a night when you can feel free to express yourself and never have to worry about looking too fancy. You can look though your sister's closet or ask a friend if you don't have any shimmery/festive pieces. I am sure somebody in your circle is dying to share their extraordinary wardrobe with you.

Our girl friends wore 80's disco inspired outfits, body glitter, shimmery cocktail dresses, and loud jackets. Many of us shopped in each other closets to find out outfits!

The boys wore vintage button downs, fluffy coats, sparkles galore, and "disco" inspired accessories. Many items were thrifted!!

I hope that these outfits and decorations inspire you to put on something special tonight and throw a "happy new years" banner over your door. And trust me, whatever level of party planning expertise you have is enough to throw an incredible NYE night and look fabulous while doing it!! Cheers to a new year. Tag us on the gram if you use any tips!

XOXO
